Support for Those Who Show Up for Others
Counseling for first responders and their families in Salem, Silverton, and throughout Oregon.
When your work asks you to stay steady for others, it can be difficult to make room for what you carry. Jennifer Ann Counseling offers a compassionate space to talk, reflect, and work toward changes that matter to you—at a pace that respects your needs and readiness.
A Space for What You Carry
First responder work can bring demanding shifts, difficult calls, repeated exposure to loss, and responsibilities that continue long after a shift ends. You may want support with a particular experience, the accumulated weight of the work, or challenges in your personal life.
Counseling can provide space to explore work stress, grief, anxiety, difficult memories, relationship strain, and changes in how you feel about yourself or your work. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Care Shaped Around You
We take a collaborative approach, beginning with what you want help with and what feels manageable. Sessions may include talking through experiences, recognizing patterns, practicing coping skills, and exploring ways to feel more connected to yourself and others.
We have a special passion for supporting first responders and their families. Our work draws from EMDR, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and expressive approaches, with treatment choices guided by each client’s needs and goals.
